Where things stand

OK Soonish is in development. Today its website, oksoonish.com, only runs a launch waitlist. The app practices below describe how we are building the app; this page will be updated to match the released version.

Your launch waitlist details

We store your email address, which page version you signed up on, your optional answer to "which moment brought you here?", any campaign tags in the link you followed (UTM tags), and the sign-up time. We use these details only to send you a launch notice about OK Soonish. We never sell them or share them for marketing, and the email subject won't mention breakups or relationships. Your details are stored with Supabase, our database provider. You can unsubscribe from any email, or ask us at hello@sideeyelabs.io to delete them at any time and we will. We will delete the list if we do not launch.

Website analytics

Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. We use no advertising pixels or third-party trackers on the OK Soonish site.

In the app (planned)

Your journal stays on your phone. Notes, journal pages and sealed drafts are stored on your iPhone, not in an account or on our servers. iCloud sync will be off unless you turn it on.

AI chat is processed, not kept. If you chat with the AI, your messages are sent securely through the Vercel AI Gateway to an Anthropic model only to write a reply. Zero data retention is switched on, we don't log message content on our servers, and messages aren't used to train AI models. Your journal isn't sent unless you paste it into a chat.

No account. The app uses Apple's App Attest, an anonymous check that requests come from a genuine copy of the app, to prevent abuse and set usage limits. It doesn't tell us who you are.

No ads, no tracking. No advertising or tracking SDKs. Purchases go through Apple; we never see your card details. Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us only if you opt in in iOS settings. We expect the App Store label to read "Data Not Linked to You"; the app's privacy details will be confirmed here at launch.

Not a crisis service

OK Soonish is a self-help tool, not therapy, medical care or a crisis service. If you're in danger or thinking about harming yourself, in the US call or text 988, or find a free line at findahelpline.com.

Your rights and changes

You can ask for access, correction or deletion by emailing hello@sideeyelabs.io. If anything changes, we will update this page and its date.
